television in Georgetown After this he joined MTV as reporter where
he worked 3 years. Currently Neil is a freelance journalist and
contributes to the Guyana Chronicle and Guyana entertainment
magazine.

: Balancing nature preservation with human needs
Nicosia Smith was born in Guyana on the Essequio Coast, the second
of Guyana's 10 regions. Se received her education from the
University of Guyana and the University of the Virgin Islands,
USVI. She is currently the business reporter at Stabroek News, a
daily newspaper located in the capital city of Georgetown. Before,
working at Stabroek News she reported for the St. Croix Avis based
in the USVI and was an intern at TV2 also in the USVI.
